This video is really well done and worth a watch. I have experienced almost everything shown in this film, except I didn't go to the police. I found it quite moving. People will probably not appreciate this on Valentine's day but perhaps it is one of the better days to promote awareness of how we treat each other.
This article was highlighted to me today on Twitter. It describes the sometimes traumatic ordeal homosexual asylum seekers fleeing persecution in their own countries have to face.
Why does this type of thing go on in this day and age in the Uk? Is it the system or the type of people in charge of assessing asylum seekers? How do you prove you are homosexual? It seems that some have resorted to filming themselves having sex in order to provide proof.
The article cuts off at the end, not sure why. I hope that the measures Jack Monday, someone who has gone through this system, suggests are taken into serious consideration. His model focuses on the issues surrounding homosexuality in countries where it is illegal rather than specific bedroom practises, a far better idea from my perspective.
Skeptical kinkster musing on whatever takes my fancy!
