Wohoo! My Kickstarter project was successfully funded. I am now waiting funds to be transferred from Kickstarter and to place the order with the calendar printers, which should happen in the next few days.
You know something? It is not easy running a Kickstarter project. There are a few projects, especially in the gaming and technology categories that are run away success stories but unless you have a super idea or have been asked to produce something by others, you are mostly likely going to have to work for your backers.

Best piece of advice I can give you for running a project? Put together your project including video and then share it with others to get feedback BEFORE your launch it. In the meantime, check out various forums and groups that discuss what makes a project successful and what resources there are. I can recommend the site I have linked to above, the owner has put together quite a few lists of sites that are a great source of information for would be project creators. Likewise, take a look at forums on the social media networks, such as Kicksnarker on Google+. Follow a few projects, back a few and see how it is handled, what you like and don't like as a backer and then take on bo
